Gateway/Collaboration with TEKLAB 

The company HeNet recently launched a new product called the LongAP Pro. This special Gateway is used in maritime projects. This IoT gateway also works with SpaceX SWARM's global satellite network.

HeNet worked with the TEKLAB team to design, prototype the rugged housing for this product, and assist with production tooling and outsourcing.

LongAP Pro/Project definition and package of requirements 

The LongAP Pro is an outdoor IoT hotspot/gateway. It is designed for professional use with a durable chassis, reliable hardware and extensive management support.

Due to the maritime application, the demands on the housing are extremely high. Impact resistance, waterproofness, signal strength retention, ease of installation of both the internal components and the housing itself. Naturally, sustainability, manufacturability and cost also play an important role.

Elaboration 

This project covered all phases of the product development process, from ideation, concepting, design, engineering, material choices and design to prototyping and production preparation. Both the housing and the mounting parts.

The collaboration with HeNet was very pleasant with fast and well-founded feedback. The TEKLAB team is proud of this beautiful and solid result.
