Product Design and Next Steps. How does collaboration with TEKLAB as productdevelopment agency start and progress?

Often, contact is initiated through a phone call or email to quickly determine if we can be of mutual benefit. We prefer to meet with potential clients face-to-face as soon as possible, as personal interaction is always the most effective. Of course, an online meeting is also an option.

New product design starts here

A good start

We are curious about the person, the company, and of course, the intended project or product. Good listening is our art, and we like to ask probing questions to quickly get to the core of the matter. Afterwards, we naturally explain who we are and what we as a team can contribute to the plan. A brief introduction to the team and a tour of the company quickly gives a good impression.

Follow-up actions

Often, the information from the initial meeting is sufficient for us to propose a plan of approach and estimate the required time. For more complex projects or products, a follow-up appointment is useful to delve deeper into the details.

Quote

Once sufficient information is available, we will prepare a quote outlining the collaboration, specifications, phasing, timeline, and conditions.

Start of a project or product

Depending on the type of product or project, we will then create a definitive plan of approach and indicate which data and information we need from the client. This naturally varies greatly between a product development project or an assembly assignment.

Execution

Our team has a proactive and innovative mindset and is focused on designing a distinctive and user-friendly product that is also aesthetically pleasing. Depending on the project, the following phases are often followed: ideation, concepting, engineering, design, materialization, prototyping, testing, and documentation. If necessary, production and assembly are also included. In-house prototyping helps with rapid development.

Interim and final evaluation

We like to involve the client intensively in the project, with regular progress meetings and evaluations, so that you are well-informed and any necessary adjustments can be discussed and implemented quickly. The agreed-upon timeline and budget are guiding principles in this process.

Expanding the collaboration

The intensive contacts during a project lead to a deep understanding of each other, often forming the basis for further collaboration. For example, for subsequent versions of a product or new projects, but also in the form of TEKLAB producing and assembling a product.
