The development of the Squatplate was accompanied by challenges; the initial clunky model lacked the necessary safety features. Our mission was clear: design a sleek fitness device that puts user safety first to revolutionize the industry.

Product development process

Our biggest challenge was ensuring the safety of the motorized fitness equipment, the Squatplate. We prioritized safety by designing handles to prevent entrapment, incorporat-ing multiple manual safety stops and implementing fail-safes such as stop traps at the bot-tom of the movements. Management played an important role in maintaining the highest safety standards. We developed protocols to automatically stop the machine when neces-sary, so users can have peace of mind while exercising.
